Herman Cain Endorses Allen West For Vice President
Herman Cain called on Mitt Romney to choose Rep. Allen West (R-FL) as the GOP’s vice presdiential nominee on a conservative talk radio show in Nashville Monday.
I went over to the Fat One’s “News site”; not only is he claiming one million visitors in March but me being there reminded me of a movie title….Nightmare on Elm Street. I gotta give you credit though Larry, you have the most disgusting, confusing and tasteless “news site” I’ve ever seen!
West stands as much chance of being on a national ticket as much as Uncle Hermie and the Fat One. If by some lunacy Romney selects West. Mittens will have to deal with this:
Iraq interrogation incident

It’s possible that I was wrong about Mr. Hamoodi.”[6]
West was charged with violating articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. During a hearing held as part of an Article 32 investigation in November 2003, West stated, “I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers.”[10] The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000.[6] LTC West accepted the judgment and retired with full benefits in the summer of 2004. Asked if he would act differently under similar circumstances again, West testified, “If it’s about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I’d go through hell with a gasoline can.”[11]

So when I look at guys like Barack Obama and Alan West and a host of others in politics I often wonder how they got to where they are and how I compare. I’d say in intelligence I’m smarter than Alan West and about as smart as Barack Obama – about an 8.5 on a scale of 10. In morality I’m about 5.1 in a scale of 10. (I don’t like to hold myself out as any holier than the other guy, but I still think I am – at least a litttle). In bravery, I’d say I’m about a 9. (I can live with that. Pardon the pun.) In sensitivity, I’m about a 10. I shed tears at movies or when others suffer sometimes. I cry every time I see “Gladiator”.
Why am I writing all this? I don’t know. (I’ve been drinking.)

In six years as the top prosecutor in Maricopa County, he stood side-by-side with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and earned a reputation as an aggressive and ambitious politician. A pair of conservative warriors in a Republican stronghold, the two teamed up to push for tougher treatment of illegal immigrants and to pursue what they saw as widespread corruption by local government officials.
But somewhere in the process, according to ethics investigators who scrutinized his actions in recent years, Thomas became obsessed with his political enemies. With Arpaio’s help, he targeted them with criminal investigations, had some of them arrested and some charged with crimes. The evidence he and Arpaio used in the process was often questionable. The charges rarely stuck.
I read that this morning YC. That’s going to taint Arpaio even more. He has very little credibility in his “birther revelations” and the DOJ investigations aimed at him won’t help either.

George Zimmerman’s legal team announced on Tuesday afternoon that they are withdrawing their counsel. “We have lost contact with him, we are not sure what he’s doing,” the lawyers said.
Zimmerman is the Sanford, Florida, neighborhood watch who shot Trayvon Martin in late February.
On his web site, he insists that he is personally working overtime thanking everyone who visits. Since the count is barely 104, it shouldn’t take him too long.

“This Presidential race is over for me, we are suspending our campaign effective today,” say’s former PA Senator Rick Santorum. It is being reported that Santorum did call and concede to MA Gov. Mitt Romney before making his public announcement ending his campaign.
Rick Santorum campaign for the GOP nomination for President of the United States will end today. As this article is being written Rick Santorum is about to take to the podium to formally announce the suspension of his campaign. Sinclair News reported last Wednesday (April 4, 2012) that Santorum was in negotiations with GOP power brokers to bring his campaign to an end with some place within the GOP and even possibly in a Romney administration.

I don’t want to reach the point where I have to live in a nursing home. Life is good, but a nursing home isn’t life. I hope to live into my nineties w/o assistance and die in my sleep or doing something heroic or adventurous or silly (but not stupid.)
However, the video reminded me of Robert DinNiro’s part in “Awakening”. Only the doctors in the movie used medicine and the Occupational Therapist in the video used music. The man was borderline catatonic and the music gave him a new and uplifting lease on life.

Official: Prosecutor plans to charge George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin
A Florida special prosecutor plans to announce charges against neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin as early as this afternoon, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.
It was not immediately clear what charges he will face.

George Zimmerman’s Legal Team Withdraws Counsel
George Zimmerman’s legal team announced on Tuesday afternoon that they are withdrawing their counsel. “We have lost contact with him, we are not sure what he’s doing,” the lawyers said.
Zimmerman is the Sanford, Florida, neighborhood watch who shot Trayvon Martin in late February.

I’ve read two accounts that he may not be in Florida but, nothing speculating on where he is.

“This Presidential race is over for me, we are suspending our campaign effective today,” say’s former PA Senator Rick Santorum. It is being reported that Santorum did call and concede to MA Gov. Mitt Romney before making his public announcement ending his campaign.
Rick Santorum campaign for the GOP nomination for President of the United States will end today. As this article is being written Rick Santorum is about to take to the podium to formally announce the suspension of his campaign. Sinclair News reported last Wednesday (April 4, 2012) that Santorum was in negotiations with GOP power brokers to bring his campaign to an end with some place within the GOP and even possibly in a Romney administration.

After listening to former PA Senator Rick Santorum’s speech last night one would think the PA Senator was in the GOP Presidential race til the bitter end. Yet after losing to GOP front-runner & establishment candidate Mitt Romney Tuesday in Maryland, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia, Sinclair News has been told by GOP insiders that Santorum is involved in deal making with the GOP power brokers which will result in Santorum’s withdrawing from the GOP nomination fight before his home state of Pennsylvania’s GOP Primary. Sinclair News sent emails to the Santorum campaign manager and insider’s asking for comment or confirmation or denial of the reports. As has been the case with the Santorum campaign, Sinclair News emails have been read but no response has been received.
It appears the end of the Santorum campaign marks a victory for the GOP Establishment in their quest to crown Mitt Romney the GOP Nominee. Now the question becomes what role Santorum will play in the 2012 GOP race for the White House?
Oh for crying out loud. Everybody knew he was on the way out. It was just a matter of waiting for a moment of clarity to kick in. BTW, does Lardo have Zimmerman hiding out in the wide load (and I bet Lardo likes looking at Zimmerman’s wide load).

BTW…I had never thought about the corruption the city wants to and needs to hide until this comment. In retrospect this sounds very plausible.
Anything is possible down in Florida. The swamps have more than just old ballots from 2000 floating out there.
I’m certain there are people that want this whole issue to go away. Sorry, ain’t going to happen. No matter what the Special Prosecutor decides, there are going to be angry people. Add election year to the mix and BANG!

I read a wing nut post suggesting a show down between the Black woman serving as Special Prosecutor (she’s a Republican) and the President is in the making. Under this theory; she declines to charge Zimmerman, Obama gets involved by his response to a reporters question about her decision. No matter what the President says, the GOP will use it as an example of his dividing the country. Victory in Nov!

I’m with you on that LTL. No nursing home for me. I intend to be self-sufficient until the end…
However, the video reminded me of Robert DinNiro’s part in “Awakening”. Only the doctors in the movie used medicine and the Occupational Therapist in the video used music. The man was borderline catatonic and the music gave him a new and uplifting lease on life.

A drunk goes into a bar. “Drinks for everyone, and one for you too.” he says to the bartender. The bartender serves everyone, including himself. “That’ll be fifty dollars, please.” I don’t have any money.” says the drunk. The bartender takes him outside and beats him up.
The next day the drunk comes back. “Drinks for everyone, including the bartender.” The bartender thinks to himself, he wouldn’t be so stupid to do the same thing again – he must have money this time, so he serves the drinks. But when he asks him to pay, the drunk tells him that he doesn’t have any money again. The bartender takes him outside and gives him a savage beating.
The next night, the same drunk comes in and tells the bartender to get a drink for everyone. “And not one for me tonight?” asks the bartender. “Nah,” says the drunk. “You get violent when you drink.”

A Florida special prosecutor plans to announce charges against neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin as early as this afternoon, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.
It was not immediately clear what charges he will face.

I read similar comments over at Drudge and had to stop in disgust after just a few glances. I’m wondering whether all those kinds of comments are authentic or whether jerks like the Koch Bros are paying people to defile the news media.
I just don’t believe there are that many crazed flaming racists out there. Am I still kidding myself at age sixty five? I hate to feel naive or stupid. But I just don’t believe it.
